About the Venture

Rural Poultry is working on Promotion, Development, Marketing and Management of Kadaknath Rural Poultry Farming and evoking entrepreneurship among tribal farmers, unemployed educated youth, women and weaker section of the society. Kadaknath: (Black Meat Chicken) It wants to generate alternative source of income to boost or strengthen the economic condition of these tribal families through the commercialization of Desi (organic) chicken called Kadaknath. Kadaknath is a local bird of Madhya Pradesh reared mainly by the tribal community of Jhabua. The bird is very popular among tribal and in other cities and states mainly due to its adaptability to the local environment and disease resistance, tasty meat quality, texture and flavour.
