About the Venture

Today, a considerable amount of youth in our country fall victim of homelessness and stateless due to the baffling and knotty family situation which eventually impels the child to leave home. It is disgraceful to find that almost 20 million children in India have fell victims of social orphanage wherein the families have abandoned them and amongst which only 0.3% fall under real orphans. Project “Pankh” was introduced for the complete social, psychological, spiritual and economic development of these lost souls, and most importantly imbibing a sense of responsibility by creating a value system that would not only help them develop as responsible citizens but also as a righteous human being in the future.“Pankh” covers five major components under its project. They are: Counseling support Mentoring Life skill support Vocational training & Job Placement Follow-up There are many NGOs have tried to help these youths and many of them failed to effectively rehabilitate these youths in mainstream society. This could be due to lack of comprehensive approach to tackle the problem. Project Pankh has been conceptualised with proper research as to provide a comprehensive solutions to the problem with all the components of the projects, already mentioned above. Project Pankh has reached more than 300 youths and more than 60 youths are under training. It hopes that with its counselling, mentoring and other continues life skill training support, these youths can start their life in mainstream with proper job and social life.
