Our Grassroot Women Entrepreneurs in West Burdhwan

Prof. Satyajit Majundar visited Village Barathol, West Burdhwan, West Bengal to mentor our grassroot women entrepreneurs (mostly from Oraon Tribe). They have not only increased their family income while making beautiful utility and decorative products from Sabai Grass but also became role models for many. Women entrepreneurs Village Keradih also attended the meeting. Our Incubation Centre TISS INCUBE FOUNDATION is committed to create sustainable impact at remote locations and for marginalised groups. The women groups lead by Ms Parboti and Ms Deboshree (they are also from the Oraon Community), under the guidance of our NGO Partner SRREOSHI – Durgapur are now planning to scale up, to reach our wider markets with variety of products. TISS INCUBE FOUNDATION have been training and mentoring them to become self-dependant. The women entrepreneurs design, make and sell products, and also maintain accounts of the revolving fund provided by us. We need more such initiatives to create resilient ViksitBharat@2047. They not less than any unicorns.
