TISS Incube Foundation conducted an online Masterclass on 1st August 2026. The session was led by Mr. Ram Krishna Pandey, Founder, KDP TechEdge Private Limited. It providedaspiring entrepreneurs, startup founders and incubatees with practical insights into the challenges of entrepreneurship and the key strategies required to transition from the startup stage towards sustainable business growth.
Mr. Ram Krishna Pandey began the session by sharing experiences from his entrepreneurial journey and highlighted that entrepreneurship is not only about building a business but also about self-discovery, adaptability and continuous learning.
The session covered the challenges faced by both experienced and first-time entrepreneurs. Mr. Pandey emphasised that perseverance and resilience are essential for navigating uncertainty, rejection, financial pressures and changing market conditions. Through practical examples and entrepreneurial journeys, he illustrated the risks associated with starting and growing a venture.
A key focus of the session was on founder productivity and prioritisation. Participants were encouraged to focus on difficult, high-impact tasks rather than spending excessive time on easier activities. The speaker also highlighted the importance of delegation, effective hiring and team management as a startup grows.
Mr. Pandey stressed that startups should establish systems and processes from the early stages, even when operating with a small team of three to four members. Clearly defined roles, responsibilities and workflows can improve accountability, decision-making and operational efficiency.
The importance of cash-flow management was also discussed, with founders advised to exercise financial discipline and protect cash reserves during the early stages.
