On 24th March 2026, the District Incubation Hub (DIH), Durg witnessed an inspiring pitching session organized by TISS Incube Foundation (TIF) for students of Govt V.Y.T. PG Autonomous College Durg.
Five promising startup ideas—AI Mitra, Viniya, Vani Systems, Spoiloclock, and Green H2—were presented by young innovators, addressing critical challenges across sectors. The session was evaluated and enriched with insights by Mukul Dhar Sharma, Deputy Director STPI, Bhilai and Samiran Mitra, Program Manager TIF.
What made the session special was the focus on mentorship over mere evaluation. Each team received actionable feedback to refine and scale their ideas further.
The innovations tackled key real-world problems such as:
1. Lack of awareness of government schemes in rural India
2. Technology-driven plantation solutions
3. Green Hydrogen opportunities
4. One-stop taxation solutions for MSMEs
5. A highly relevant solution for detecting milk adulteration, impacting everyday consumers across India
The session was graced by the presence of Principal Dr. A K Singh and E-Cell In charge, Prof Rakesh Tiwari, who encouraged the students throughout. Notably, these students—all of them first-generation entrepreneurs—were mentored through a dedicated bootcamp at DIH on 14th March 2026, where they learned the fundamentals of pitching and entrepreneurship.
After sustained efforts, it was inspiring to see these five ideas take shape and move a step closer toward becoming impactful enterprises.
This initiative, supported by the Durg administration, reflects a strong commitment to nurturing grassroots innovation and building a vibrant startup ecosystem. TISS Incube Foundation is committed to create eco-system for innovation and startup in the Durg Region of Chhattisgarh. The Hackathon is one of those initiatives.
