The venture model aims to ensure opportunities for marginalised farm labourers & small farmers by promoting livestock farming with utilisation of scientific tools & techniques. Centre for Livestock identifies, selects and trains rural women farmers & labourers on goat & countryside chicken farming and performs goat & chicken cluster development. In post training phase, trainees will be contracted to start with micro enterprise at household level. The Center provides vaccinated goats & chickens with essential technical support to each contract farmer for conducting scientific livestock farming, competitively. Further Centre will assist contract farmers in setting up of low cost commercial goat farms along with regular medicinal & nutritional guidance and monitoring support throughout the production process. Apart from this, Centre is responsible to arrange market for sale of produced livestock at right price for all farmers. The contract farmers are expected to come up with zeal and aggressiveness to contribute in the process by providing their labour, available land/infra and other locally available resources. The venture owns a meat parlour at Patna where all produced will be sold out directly to consumers which will also generate revenue for Centre and high profit to contract farmers & lead the model towards socio-economic self sustainability.
